| Fablab wire installation was an unique and new type of project for me. First of all, I had to do a research and photograph representative buildings from Iași. I had to work with 3 walls, each with a specific theme. Wall 1 and 2 was about Iași (cultural and business), with representative buildings. Wall 3 was about technoligy and tools. To achieve my 3 compositions, I had to do the measurements for the space, to do my digital walls and after that to place each element in the right place. The process was a little bit difficult because the walls were big and tall and, at the same time, they were doing the renovation for the place and there was a lot of noise and dust | This part was the hardest one. The time was very short and the work was massive. I had to do by myself all the shapes: some of them small but with details and curves hard to get with the wire, some of them big, over 2 meters long and also with details. Since the deadline was short, I had to work over 12 hours/day to finish all in time. After this process, each piece was painted with white to respect the design of the composition. The assembly part was also difficult. There were a lot of shapes, the walls were big and my job was to put each part in the correct place. So, with nails and hammer, I managed to create all the 3 composition. The level of difficulty was high, the time was short and the people who supposed to help me put the shapes on the walls didn't do it. But with determination and self motivation I managed to finish all of it before the opening. |
